“Jazz Appreciation Month” with Da Camera JAM at Discovery Green

6:30 p.m. Students from HISD’s HSPVA Jazz Department kicks-off the 2018 Da Camera JAM series with an outstanding display of jazz music at its best.

7:30 p.m. Vocalist Jacqui Sutton comes to Da Camera JAM with the Frontier Jazz Orchestra performing new compositions from a new CD entitled Un-Cross Talk.

Celebrate “Jazz Appreciation Month” during the month of April with Da Camera JAM and KTSU 90.9 FM “Your #1 source for jazz and more” for a series of free concerts at Discovery Green. Closing out the month of April, checkout the first-ever Houston appearance of Mwenso and the Shakes, an innovative ensemble of international musicians and vocalists performing an amazing array of African and American protest songs.

Blankets, lawn chairs and picnics are welcome; food, beer and wine are available at the Lake House. No glass containers or outside alcoholic beverages, please.
