Delta Sigma Theta, Inc. Hosts Forum on 21st Policing & The Community

The Bay Area Houston Alumnae Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta, Inc hosts the forum, “Policing: Bridging the Gap Through Community Outreach,” will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 21st, at the Thurgood Marshall School of Law at TSU.  The Bay Area Houston Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. presents the event in partnership with the Thurgood Marshall School of Law Student Ambassadors and the National Black Law Student Association (BLSA)-Barbara C. Jordan Chapter. Panelists will include Mary Young, TSU Chief of Police; James Douglas, former TSU president as well as current Interim Dean and Distinguished Professor of Law at Thurgood Marshall School of Law; Sharon Watkins Jones, Director of Political Strategies for the ACLU of Texas; Sean Wright, Chief of Police for Seabrook, TX; and Robbie Tolan, local community activist and author of “No Justice: One White Police Officer, One Black Family, and How One Bullet Ripped Us Apart.”
